Greetings and Happy New Year Milwaukee SAE section members and friends,
I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable holiday season. We begin 2015 with a full schedule of events planned through June, so please keep an eye out every month for the newsletter. We have some fantastic events planned starting off with Milsco in February. Milsco has a long history of manufacturing in Milwaukee and have an excellent event planned for us.
If you would like to get involved in the SAE Milwaukee Section, we have two great opportunities for you. The first is our Shadow Program. Interested in what being a board member entails? Volunteer to be a Shadow and we will pair you up with a board member. You can see what this board member does and help them with some of their tasks. This is a great way to get involved and see what helping out with the Milwaukee SAE Section is all about. Please contact Randy Hoffman for more information.
The second opportunity is our AWIM/STEM initiative. Please consider volunteering to help bring engineering into the classroom for middle and high school students. Did someone spark your interest as a child that led you to a path in engineering? Maybe you can do the same for a young person. This is a great way to have an impact and promote the engineering discipline. Please contact Sid Jain for more information.
